For any occasion
The sandwich is a dish we can never get tired of. It's always something that can be reinvented over and over again.
So whether you fancy a gourmet delight such as a black-olive and Feta ciabatta or a comforting bacon bite on sliced white, the variations are endless.
Time saving ideas
It's time to make mornings a little easier: here are some time-saving ideas when preparing family sandwiches.
Freeze-aheads
Make sandwiches you can pull right out of the freezer and pop into a lunch bag. Take your sandwich out of the fridge 30 minutes before you eat it. Bread tastes fresher and has a much better texture at room temperature than when cold.
Keep it varied
Rather than eating your way through the same loaf day after day, buy a varied selection of different rolls and keep them in the freezer. Pull out the one you fancy in the morning. Bread doesn't take long to defrost and frozen rolls can be sawn through with a small serrated knife if you're really in a hurry.
Don't forget the mayo
One ingredient a sandwich will certainly never tire of is Hellmann's mayonnaise. For a flavour-packed twist to your sandwich, try livening up the mayonnaise by mashing in some herbs or a pinch of dried chilli flakes. Or try Hellmann's Dijon to add a mustard-seeded buzz.
